MKFC at the ENO conference in Joensuu

Last week two of our teacher trainers Emma and Kalle Hedlund and our Business Manager Fayez Chahrstan (down to the left in the picture) attended the ENO conference in Joensuu, Finland.

It was a truly amazing conference with a lot of schools showing examples of working with science, technology and environment improving integrated in the classroom (and outside of course).Thank you Mika, Urpo, Riitta, Tero, Heli, Minna, Ville, Tiina, Aleksi, Veera, Aino, Timo, Ilkka, Pauliina, Kirsi for the wonderful organization!

We got a lot of valuable contacts and friends that are principals, teachers, pupils, students, persons from NGO’s and companies that we are going to continue to work with in different areas in the future. This is some pictures from the workshops.

An afterschool projects from Taiwan helped school children to make robots. In their workshop we made our own robots.

In the Chinese workshop we learned to make knots togheter with the National Fenghsin Senior High School.

A Romanian school taught us to use waste for making Romanian traditional objects.

The Star School from Tanzania also used waste to make products

Batisoke Cimento Primary School from Turkey had a workshop about water paintings (Ebru).

We also had a workshop about in Net Communities in e-learning within Teacher Training using Global best practice and how to integrate learning and net communities in a rural Somaliland school with tutoring from Sweden. By connecting the students to net communities the classrooms extend and the students are able to have connections worldwide.

SMK Teloi Kanan works with tree planting and water projects amongs others, the Malaysian delegation also visited us in Stockholm yesterday.
