hamid1Entrance to Guzarga Female High School  in Kabul. The school is poor and in need of help

MKFC Stockholm College offers its unique concept of quality education, End-to-End eLearning to Kabul students. After some contacts two MKFC teachers now visit Kabul and Guzarga Female High School to discuss and plan what to do and how to begin. The MKFC offer is a pilote Teacher Training. MKFC staff Hamid Iravani and Gola Mahram give us daily reports about what happens. Here are some points from the first Kabul report from Hamid

–Today Gola and I, after checking in to the hotel, went together with Rona and her husband to the school. We were met by a lot of singing students in different classes and there were also some short welcoming speeches and greetings in the classrooms. We got a lot of flowers. That was indeed surprising!

–There are classes 1, 2 and 3 and also a group of girls occupied with sewing. The school comprises six part time working female teachers and and a teacher in sewing. There is also a cook. There are three hours of lessons during the day. The school is poor and in lack of resources of all kinds.

–In a small room there are five old computers and they are all out of order. There is still no Internet connection available.

–Tomorrow morning we will have a meeting with Rona on our Teacher Training project adapted to this school. We will try to get the connection work and I will check it with my laptop.

–Gola will bring some paper and pens for a workshop with the children during our meeting. After that we will visit some other schools.

–A nice ending of this report is that tomorrow when arriving to Ronas school Gola and I will wear real Afghan clothes!
